Building a Website Accessible to Visually-Impaired People

In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to require Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology (EIT) accessible to people with disabilities. Specifically with people that are visually-impaired enough to where they cant view content on the screen of a website regardless of the font size, there are screen reader programs available. Such programs like JAWS read aloud the code of the webpage in a systematic way.
